The device is designed for drying all types of heat resistant and heat sensitive dispersed materials.
Main Characteristics and Essence
Multistage gravity tray dryer – a new design of drying devices with stable hydrodynamic and thermodynamic features, which are achieved by vertical sectioning of the interior space by establishing a cascade of perforated trays at a certain angle; Thus, conditions are created for the gravitational movement of the material along the trays and its replanting from one tray to the other. Effective mixing, inherent in the fluidized bed, is created on each tray of this design, while maintaining the benefits of an organized counter-current mode.

Advantages of the dryer:
- Creation of the counter-current mode of the interacting flows, which is the most effective and provides the greatest value of the average driving force (differences of average temperatures Δtavg. and average concentrations Δcavg.)
- Support of simultaneous drying and classifying the material in one apparatus
- Reduction in the size of the apparatus due to separation of flow contact stages in the space of one device
- Differentiated dewatering mode for disperse material – creation of various hydrodynamic and thermodynamic drying conditions at each stage, depending on the temperature-humidity characteristics of the disperse material and the drying agent
- Ability to control the residence time of the dispersed phase in the apparatus due to changes in the technological characteristics of the drying process and the design of the dryer
- Secondary use of the drying agent, which reduces energy consumption of the process.
Because of the differentiated dewatering mode, the rate and efficiency of moisture removal increased by 3–5%, preserving constant energy consumption and high quality of the finished product.
